ONLINE PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR

THE NATIONAL CENTRE FOR NUCLEAR RESEARCH PROCESSING PAYMENTS

 

I. Introductory provisions

  1. These Terms and Conditions, hereinafter referred to as the “Terms and Conditions”, define the rules and conditions for making electronic transactions to the benefit of the National Centre for Nuclear Research, with its registered office in Otwock-Świerk, ul. Sołtana 7, 05-400 Otwock-Świerk, Poland, a research institute entered into the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register maintained by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw in Warsaw, 14th Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under KRS number 0000171393, NIP: 532-010-01-25, REGON: 001024043, BDO: 000004834, hereinafter referred to as NCBJ, within the e-Payment System via the Service.
  2. The current version of these Terms and Conditions is available at ncbj.gov.pl.
  3. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the following terms shall have the following meanings:
  • Payment – individual fees paid by the Buyer to NCBJ within the e-Payment System, including but not limited to:
    1. fees for participation in conferences and scientific events,
    2. payments from sponsors for events organized by NCBJ,
    3. payments for e-services provided by NCBJ and processed via the e-Payment System.
  • e-Payment System – the PayPro payment plugin enabling NCBJ to accept payments, available on the NCBJ website.
  • Service – the online payment service operated by PayPro Spółka Akcyjna with its registered office in Poznań, ul. Pastelowa 8, 60-198 Poznań, Poland, where the User may perform a Transaction using:
    1. payment cards,
    2. fast bank transfers (pay-by-link),
    3. other payment instruments available within the Service.
  • User – a natural person using the e-Payment System who makes a payment to NCBJ on behalf of the Buyer via the e-Payment System and the Service in order to fulfil the obligation resulting from the Payment.
  • Buyer – an entrepreneur making a Payment to NCBJ who purchases services or goods offered by NCBJ.
  • NCBJ – the recipient of funds constituting the subject of the Transaction, providing the possibility to make Payments via the e-Payment System through the Service operated by PayPro Spółka Akcyjna.
  • Transaction – a payment transaction carried out within the e-Payment System and processed by PayPro Spółka Akcyjna using payment instruments available in the Service, intended to transfer funds to NCBJ in order to fulfil the Buyer’s Payment obligation.
  1. By making a Payment, the Buyer and the User declare and confirm that they have read these Terms and Conditions and accept their provisions.

 

II. Rules for transaction processing

  1. The User performs a Transaction on behalf of the Buyer to NCBJ via the Service by selecting the payment option available within the e-Payment System.
  2. In order to perform a Transaction, the User is required to provide the following personal data: the User’s first and last name, the Buyer’s name (affiliation), the Buyer’s registered office address, the Buyer’s tax identification number (NIP) if an invoice is required, the User’s e-mail address and phone number, bank account number, payment card number, card expiry date and CVV number (if the payment is made using a payment card).
  3. After being redirected to the Service website, the User selects a payment method available in the e-Payment System in order to complete the Transaction. The User may make the Payment via: electronic transfer, fast bank transfer (pay-by-link), payment card (debit or credit), the BLIK mobile payment system (via PayPro), or by traditional bank transfer to the bank account number provided on the website.
  4. The Payment is made directly from the bank account used by the User through the Service operating the e-Payment System.
  5. In the case of traditional bank transfers or payments made directly to the NCBJ bank account, the User bears the costs of the Transaction (Payment). In the case of payments processed through the Service, the Service transfers to NCBJ the Transaction amount reduced by the commission for processing online payments, which amounts to 1.2% of the Transaction value.
  6. After the Transaction has been successfully completed, the User will receive a confirmation of the Transaction, which will be automatically sent to the e-mail address provided by the User.

 

III. Complaints

  1. In the event of resignation from participation in a conference or scientific event, the fee paid is non-refundable. Buyers are not entitled to withdraw from the contract under the Act of 30 May 2014 on consumer rights due to their status as entrepreneurs and the fact that conferences and events take place on a specified date. Refunds are only granted if the conference or event is cancelled. The regulations of individual conferences or events may regulate this matter differently.
  2. The User may submit a complaint using the form constituting Appendix No. 1, sent by e-mail to: platnosci_online@ncbj.gov.pl.
  3. NCBJ will respond to the complaint within 14 days from the date of its receipt.
  4. Refunds of Payments for participation in conferences and scientific events organized by the National Centre for Nuclear Research will be transferred to the bank account number provided in the refund form contained in Appendix No. 1.

 

IV. Additional information

  1. By making a Transaction, the User consents to the processing of personal data for the purpose of handling the Transaction. The controller of the personal data provided for the purpose of carrying out the Transaction is NCBJ. Detailed information on the processing of personal data by NCBJ is specified in the Privacy Policy.
  2. NCBJ shall not be liable for any consequences resulting from the improper functioning of the Service.
